Jasmine

Cyrus has gotten into Aladdin after watching the short play they have in Califonia Adventure land.  He really likes Iago, he thinks it is really funny when the sultan stuffs crackers into Iago's mouth.  Yesterday when he was watching Aladdin with Eric (we have to watch it with him or else he gets too scared; we have to skip the scenes with the Cave of Wonders and Prince Ahkmed, and we turn it off after "A Whole New World").  Anyways, while they were watching he repeated Iago's line "the problem with your daughter", and it came out "the ploblem with yo daudo" because he doesn't say his /r/s yet.  It sounded really cute.

Cyrus's Post Mission Plans

During our prayers with Cyrus we generally ask that , among other things, Heavenly Father will bless him to serve a mission and have a temple marriage.  Today during prayers I cued him with "bless that Cyrus will grow up and..." then he filled in, "go on a mission, and go on a date", and then finished with "get married in the temple". I guess dating after your mission is something that a lot of boys pray for, but probably not 3-year-old boys!

A new bed

Cyrus told us yesterday that he wanted to sleep on a cloud because it looked comfy.  And he said that he would have birds in his bed..."and an eagle too"!  It was very cute.

Today Cyrus has been playing with a new play tool kit he got for his birthday and this morning he was grabbing his stuffed toys with the pliers and flying them around the room, which looked like fun.  He just got up from his nap and told me that he needed to get his "flyers" to fly his guys.  Ha ha, I finally understand what he thinks pliers (aka flyers) are used for.

Happy Birthday to Cyrus

This week was Cyrus's birthday.  He got a big firetruck/semi truck combo toy that he loves.  After he opened all of his presents from us we started talking about how Christmas is Jesus's birthday.  Cyrus, looking very upset, turned to his dad and said, "I don't want to give Jesus my firetruck!".  So then we sat down and talked about some things that we could give Jesus for Christmas that he would probably like better than a firetruck.
